I agree that courage isn't the correct term for an athlete rehabbing from an injury.
However
This is an award that all 32 teams give out every year, voted on by the Players, as mandated by the league.
That being the case, who would You have chosen instead?
Now that's a valid point.

It’s rough but it happens every day and everyone will go through it and many worse. Death is always there and illness and injury is right around the corner
That's a good way to look at life. And some people decided to give Dak an award for it. Good for him

Football aside. From one father to another I'm sorry for your loss as I could never imagine what you went through my brother.

Thank You my Brother and Thanks for your service to our great Nation. I'm all better now, time and GOD really does heal all wounds. Just saying it isn't as easy as yelling man up and move on. If someone would have given me an award

I would accept it with as much grace, humility and Gratitude I could muster up. I like when my football or any sport heroes are honored for bearing this thing called life.

Peace and tranquility to you Sir in your quieter days

I can't believe some are criticizing Dak for winning this award.
Well, yes, I can.

Life can be hard and is for a lot of people.
And we don't know what people are dealing with.
Then, to have your mistakes magnified to a television audience of millions and to endure the subsequent mocking, jeering and criticism from millions more.
And not retaliate?
Believe me, not all of my students love me, and it stings to read my evaluations even though other students love me.
But I'm of a strong constitution.
Some people aren't and get far more criticism than I get.
That's Dak.
I may have my opinions of him as a quarterback.
But his teammates voted him this award. And they see him way more than we do.

P.S., thanks for sharing your story. I love reading about people and their stories.
It makes me think twice before I feel like treating people like jackbehinds.

No thanks needed and always remember "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Peace to you and tour family my brother as your little angel looks down on you from the Pearly Gates.

He's only missing 1 player. ONE. If he can't figure out how to compensate for that then maybe he shouldn't be in the NFL.
Not sure if you follow the Cowboys or not. Right now it’s a new LT who has never played a game in this league, a new LG who has never been a regular starter and repeatedly lost his job to Conner Williams who was horrible, a Center that needs to improve just to be NFL average a RT who has had one really bad year and one OK year who we still aren’t sure who he is and an absolute legend at RG. I’m not sure what your agenda is but I don’t need to review your posting history to take a good guess at it…
