TRADED Cowboys trade for CB Kaiir Elam from the Bills

I guess all that remains in free agency now after getting Elam and Sanborn is finding a body that can stand in at No. 2 WR. I supposed we could think that's what Mingo is for since we traded a fourth-round pick in this year's draft for him.

I looked at a Reddit thread from Bills fans before the year and most there said he showed he could play man, but he was lost in zone coverage, which is what the Bills most run. A lot said he is a good athlete and just might not fit their scheme. So there is hope....except for the fact that Eberflus mostly runs zone. We will see.

We have done worse things by far. He has measureables but no instincts. Maybe he can't handle cold and snow and might be decent. I am a tad optimistic.

This guy was a late first round pick, but only started 12 games in 3 years on a team with a good defense; so it stands to reason they can develop their defensive players and they let him go for a couple of late round/conditional draft picks. Not a glowing endorsement.

Wait. Hold on. A team other than Dallas missed in a 1st round pick?

Unheard of I tell you. Round these parts people will have you believe only we do that
Generally our first rounders do pretty well. It's the second where we get in trouble.

This FO never ceases to amaze me with how ridiculous their acquiring non-talent and feeling like they hood winked the league.
Where can I see evidence of them feeling they hoodwinked anyone?
