I like this acquisition for a 6th round pick. I wonder if they tried to get anyone else. Hankins is a proven force in the middle if he has anything left in the tank. He can push the pocket too.

That's one thing we don't really thing about. Could have inquired about multiple players, but this is the only one where we could strike a deal. Obviously, it takes two to tango.

Hope we get some of his youth back by not being an every down player. Offense is what it is, a lot of youth too, but we can get the defense to an even bigger pedestal if can just stop the run and get more pressure inside.

He has above average agility and minimum standards for acceleration. He came from a top big 10 college and has been in the league since 2013. He lived up to his 2nd round selection as he has been on the Dallas radar since 2013. He replaced the Giants Linval Joseph with 7 sacks his 1st season as a starter.

He replaces the lost of Vanilla Gorilla and is a proven veteran run stopper that can give more pass rush than most DTs currently on the Cowboys team. Bohanna was and is getting wore out as a run stopper something that Gallimore and Watkins are not at the DT position. Hankins upgrades the DT position.
