They don't know anything. We have all the experts here. LolFWIW, the talking heads on the NFL Network love the move. I mean they are turning backflips.

And the Commanders would deserve that.......they were only 1 game away from reaching the SB.If any other team made this move it would be heralded by the national media. If he was being added to the Commanders to play with Jayden Daniels, "Scary Terry", Deebo, and Tunsil, the media would be saying Washington may have caught the Eagles.
board was salivating for a wr in rd 1. wound up getting arguably the preeminent deep threat in the LEAGUE for a third next year?I just don’t understand the hate.
People said they needed to make moves? They made moves
People said too many holes to fill? RB, WR2, RG, DT, LB, DE all upgraded
The excuses are running out. Now the final comeback is .. but they have Dak.
I get it. Dak isn’t prime Aikman or Roger. But this team is a complete 180 on last seasons roster and has been upgraded at nearly every position
Why are you continually ignoring a HUGE factor here with Pickens?Considering the Steelers wanted #44 overall, if it ends up being a third round pick. I’d consider that fair value. If anything, it benefits the Cowboys.
Pickens is, by far, better than any other WR that was available right now.
As to signed free agent WR’s, he’s better than Diggs or Kupp. Adam’s? Dealers choice there maybe.
Bottom line, WR2 was our biggest off-season need and it’s now done. People will find reasons to be mad, but this is a big move.
This is my issue..why would a franchise with Tomlin and who sticks with guys give up? Red flagHe won't get a third round comp contract. Those almost never happen.
It's not low risk when your ask yourself why a smart franchise like Pittsburgh dumped him. When have any of their other problem WRs worked out elsewhere?
I have questions about Pickens volatility. No doubt that there’s risk.I have serious questions about it simply because Pickens is a complete loose cannon and idiot and we aren't exactly known for being able to reel in guys like this.
It's a very reasonable take on the acquisition. You can't just ignore that aspect of the trade just because you like Pickens' skill set.
What could go wrong?Shotty changing the culture with “high character” guys already.
Shotty was hired specifically to not be in control of anything, just as I’ve been saying all along.
This trade proves it.
Pollard was a 4th.steal? here is our 3rd rounders over the past few years
Cooper Beebe
Overshown
Tolbert
Osa
Pollard
Gallup
Lewis
the only miss was Gallimore...
so its way way more than 25%...but people just tend to make up numbers in their head without actually looking at the facts.
I fixed it for you.board was salivating for a wr in rd 1. wound up getting arguably the preeminent deep threat in the LEAGUE who has a history of ridiculous behavior, was publicly chastised by his own coach for being immature, picked up numerous stupid penalties, threw hissy fits on the field when he didn't get his way for a third next year?
Truth be told, we can say the same with Mingo. People don't like to hear that but neither guy has had a NFL caliber QB. Pickens and his stats are incredible when you consider the QB issue there.Pickens finally gets a good qb. This offense, if healthy, is going to be a problem. The play-action possibilities with CeeDee in the slot, causing mayhem underneath and Pickens running behind safeties....defensive coordinators are going to hate gameplanning against us.
i’d imagine how the draft played out is a major factor. grabbing booker indicates that was the plan, but they missed out on justin’s and the rest of the big dogs. so if things don’t go according to plan, adjust. i like it.It should work well when he is getting only 2-3 targets a game in his walk year.
Thought they wanted to run the ball.
Like I just said, the Eagles just won a SB with one of the best teams in history... in 2025.Spoken like a team that has not won anything in 30+ years
I love the talent and if the salary cap was nonexistent there should be no issue, but how do they make three players almost the highest paid at their positions AND pay a 2nd #1 receiver as well......thats the only issue I see forthcomingThis thread is a perfect example of how this site has turned into a bunch of a posters who will complain no matter what.
There are prominent posters complaining IN THIS THREAD who at some point in the last month have openly stated trading for Pickens would be a good move and “that’s why Jerry won’t do it” (exact quote from one of them). What’s more is moderation protects these individuals and doesn’t allow for call outs and names to be named.
Well which is it?A 5th and 6th is nothing. They will get comp picks to make up for that and the pick swap will help with that to.
They just wasted a 3rd on Gholstin and Wright and a 2nd on Joseph not too long ago. You have to do something. We complain when they don’t something then complain out of fear of what? Losing a 3rd rounder? We can’t be scared of uncertainty or risk.
So, the plan is to trade for a guy who is disgruntled and wants to get paid, then not pay him? I am sure that will be great for the culture Shotty said he was trying to create. The 3rd round comp pick I mentioned would be contingent on him having a good year and Jerry not being able to resign him while he leaves in free agency next year.
