TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

I do not get it. These guys complain we don’t make moves or we suck at trades. We don’t trade much and get an actual top player in his prime WHO HAS A HISTORY OF IMMATURITY, ON FIELD ANTICS AND GENERAL IDIOCY. I don’t get the outcry.

The fact many of you are ignoring a pretty big piece of the puzzle and why he was even available in the first place despite being such an uber talent is funny.

I think the outcry comes from the fact this franchise has largely struggled with reigning in out of control players. And we just gave up a third round pick for a guy who is very likely to have a meltdown here in Dallas. I think that's why some are concerned.

Not ideal... Good player, but if struggled to fit in at Pittsburgh, not sure how a move to the big lights in Dallas helps him at all.

The entire fanbase over values draft picks because Jerry has sold them on the idea that we can land all pros every round. I would agree though, a 3rd isn't all that much to give up.

True but then you and CATCH should ask yourself why such an apparent big time stud WR is available for just a third.

And therein lies the concern many fans have.

No doubt Pickens is a talent. And I am usually on board with taking chances on guys with warts. But this guy couldn't be reeled in by the Steelers and Tomlin, so I have real concerns that Jerry and his laid back atmosphere in Dallas aren't going to be able to reign in Pickens.

Imagine if CD misses time if we didn't have a #1 talent like Pickens.
What good would this DT be when the offense is down to who? Who would be your 3 WR's to get us to this superbowl.

No 1 player is getting anyone to a SB.

imagine if Parsons is down...wait we know what happens, this defense can't make any stops....

we had the #1 scoring offense two years ago and got blown out in post season, because our defense sucked and our offense got man handled. we have seen that movie already. we know how it ends.

Character issues aside, the Cowboys have added some serious speed to their offense. No longer will they have to force Turpin into a role he lacks the size for. He and Blue can work underneath now. They pose matchup issues for most linebackers and safeties.

They all understand the simplest path is to make the defense commit to the run & then take your shots in the air.

Yet Bills and Ravens are consistently looking for wide receivers and the champs have Devonta and Aj Brown.

And let’s remember what happened in the SB. Barkley had 25 carries for 55 yards.

I'll take the opposite approach to that topic. How do you load the box against us when we have both CeeDee and Pickens?

True, guess we'll see how good the line is this year. That will be crucial on if teams could get penetration with the front 4 or will need to stack the box to stop the run and or get pressure before those two get open.

That same argument can be made to question every acquisition. If Saquon was so good why did the Giants let him go? If Dan Quinn was such a great coach why didn't we promote him? If AJ Brown was so good why did the Titans trade him. If Christian McCaffery was so good why did the Panthers trade him.

I truly believe he's gonna have a big year.

He's finally on a "offense first" team and he's got a #1 WR to get him that single coverage. ........and for all of Daks blemishes it will be the best Qb that's throwing to him since he was drafted

Normally I would have said Mahomes or Allen were the best Qbs that have thrown to him but Pickens hasn't made a pro-bowl, lol
