TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

it's not booker vs graham. it's booker and ez vs graham, and i'll take our side every day of the week. both chris jones and jalen carter are tremendous talents. neither is the reason their team was in the superbowl.
they were key parts of the reason they were in superbowl. you want to tell me you would not take Jones over pickes if the opportunity was there.

come on now, you just deflecting to support the trade Jones just made....

I would take a Jones or Carter over Pickens 8 days a week.

There is nothing about Pickens that makes me think he won't show up.
He knows his perception. What is he going to do? Hold out a year and have everyone run from him? He isn't in a position of power here. He needs this season to get his payday. What he produced in the past was not enough to get him paid by Pitts.
Show up for 2027…that’s the last year of his rookie deal. Point is, no matter what, he already thinks he’s worth a lot. The 3rd round pick has already been spent.

His and his agent’s perception of what power they have is what matters now.

thanks. but was still looking more for specifics. i also don't really have a gauge for what constitutes a lot of money in fines, and curious what they were for. but i'll head back to google.
Keep in mind, a lot of these fines are associated with 15-yard flags.

Actually the title would be Mountaineer is 98% always wrong.
The only thing you can legitimately say I was dead wrong about was Jerry resigning Dak.

You could say I was wrong about predicting records too, but that’s very hard to get right each year.

Other than that I’m usually spot on.

So much for bringing in high character guys i guess lol
It's mind boggling. The Steelers are a WR needy team. This isn't a good dude. They were more than happy to get rid of him. How do you make this trade and not just bring in Amari Cooper for zero draft compensation?

what do you mean no answer? either trade for a defensive player or don't trade and use it to move up in the draft and get a DT, LB or saftey, all bigger needs than a WR2

and here we go with potential this, potential that. yeah, I would rather trade up and get Graham, than a RG any day of the week. or have you not been paying attention to Davis and Jones in the two superbowl teams who just played this past year!

I am sure you are already looking to buy a pickens jersey and that's why jerry loves fans like you....
So you are so hurt they didn't fill your need on DT that any move that improves the team must be bad.

How about you explain how adding Pickens does not help us. The team who scores the most points wins the games. So yea offense matters also.

So which DT is on the trading block for a 3rd we could have gotten instead?

Next years 3rd would not have been enough to move up in the draft. It cost way more.

Stop the stupid strawman crap with a jersey. I am a grown man who isn't wearing a shirt with another mans name on it.

this defense is got holes and question marks. your assumption is that all the moves are going to work out just great....reality says, most of it won't and a few will be OK. I haven't seen any great moves. and imagine if you will, adding even more resources to the defense and making not just good, but great.....just imagine that.

Last year, KC didn't score over 30 points all season and they won 15 games, because their defense was great. imagine that. imagine Eagles having #1 defense, coming off one of the most dominant defensive performances in superbowl ever, and then using their first 5 picks to add even more to the defense. imagine that.
i'm not assuming anything. i said they can be good. there's talent there. they've been good 3 out of the last 4 years and i like the moves they've made. we're not the eagles or the chiefs, we have to build our team as is, and they've done a good job this year. i haven't been happy with much of the roster building the past couple of years, but this year i don't have much to complain about. yes the defense needs improving, and if they'd focused on the defense as much as you'd have liked then the offense would have been anemic and without a mahomes to bail them out. also philly turned the corner after trading for aj brown.

Typical Dallas trade.....they could have gave up a 3rd round pick in the 2025 draft and moved up to get TMAC....and wouldn't have to pay TMAC for 5 years....now they gave up a 3rd and have to either pay Pickens or let him walk.....Dallas boxed themselves in and got another head case for WR and still has to pay him.....so Dallas like..
No, that would have been a bad trade. Then we would not have Booker or Revel.
Dallas did the right thing.

Cardinals were reported on several occasions to have inquired about him in an attempt to pair him with Harrison and help for Kyler.
The Cowboys waited till May 7th to make this deal. Talks started before the draft. Id say they were patient and were well aware what other teams were offering. Its a fair trade. Jerry took a big swing here. Let's hope it works. Keeps the chains moving and let the D sit.

you did not answer what i said ...... i said their QB does not freeze up in the playoffs, not that he has to do everything

You can win a Superbowl with a QB that is not great ....... but you cannot win with a QB who freezes up the first half against a winning team in the playoffs.
That team didn't allow Hurts to freeze up or show flaws... the RB, WR's, coaching, OL, defense all had his back.

Its intersting that I have to explain how teams win SB's. You expecting the Cowboys to win with less weapons, then its all on Dak when they don't... yall funny.

lol this is what everyones up in arms about? lol seriously? yeah inject his play into my veins if this is the side effects.

also thanks for sharing.

Also shows that “changing the culture” talk by the HC is pure BS as Jerry undermines him yet again.

Look at Jerry’s history of dealing for WR.

Again, it’d be one thing if this was an over the top type move, but they aren’t ready to win and if Pickens does anything of significance they will be saddled with replacing him next year.

And again, again….wait until he doesn’t get his targets in his walk year. The guy threw a fit by not being drafted in the first, says dumb things on social media.

This is NOT what this team needed right now. It isn’t fantasy football.

Oh well, Jerry can’t help it when it comes to his corners and receivers. Thinks that’s how you win. Must be bombed when he watches playoff football.
Which is it? BS from the Head coach? Or is Jerry undermining him?

but we do have a garbage defense. we have had garbage defense. or did you not watch last year or the year before....
we are spending resources on offense. two 4th round picks, 3rd round and 5th round pick on Lance, Mingo and Pickens. Lance is gone. useless. Mingo is useless and it was a stupid trade. now pickens in the last year of his contract. either we have traded down our top of 3rd round pick to bottom of the 3rd or we have to pay him ton of money, and resources that should be invested in defense.

seriously where are you guys coming up with this stuff.
We added 2 higher end pass rushers this offseason.
It really doesn't even matter. Adding to the offense is not taking from the defense. Both are possible. When we added to the defense it didn't make us not improve the offense. Both can happen.

You are just so upset and have decided any improvements that are not exclusive to the defense would cause you to have a temper tantrum. I get it now.
