TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

Like some have said, some of you will never be happy. No matter what.

Any move they make is a bad move.

That has to be a crappy existence.
A crappy existence is not seeing your team sniff the Superbowl for nearly 30 years. Especially after watching them win three almost back to back.

Especially when they could have traded up and got a young TMAC for a 3rd round pick....it would of cost less....and got a future #1 WR.....but oh no...thats not how Jerry does business.
Exactly, we could have moved up with that 3rd and got a legit #1 on a 5 yr deal.

But no, Jerry and his idiot boy have no clue how to build a roster, that’s why every other team in the NFC has been to a title game except us.

Spoiler alert….its not due to bad luck

That's not how it works. Theres always a chance that player isn't ready or will not make a impact this year or next. Pickens makes a impact now. That 3rd round pick is always a chance. History shows they are depth players or guys who end up out of the league in a few years.

They're trying to give Dak every possible chance, NOW, so that they can make a definitive decision on whether Dak and this offense can produce, or they cut ties in 2027 (save $100m) and redraft a QB (either with/without Pickens).

TMAC probably want a value trade on their Board, when compared to other possible gets and lets be fair we arent in the pool of one last piece for a Championship. Dak's 2026 contract is already guaranteed.....they dont have the luxury of time, his 2027 money becomes guaranteed on 6/18/26.

Good point. As I mentioned after you posted, Dak (and FO) needs it now, to decide on Dak's future years. Im a Dak skeptic, but at least give him a chance.....rather than hang him out to dry.

Mortgage the future???

It was a 3rd round pick with huge upside and no risk.
The risk is you have over spent on a third round pick. Anything less than a successful season and either an extension or a 3rd or 4th round pick back has to be deemed a failure.

The Cowboys could have done that. But it wouldn't have been called a marketing move either. Just like getting Pickens wasn't.
Getting Pickens was. I said it back mid last season. Called it back then. Not Pickens but making a splashy move to appease the fans. It's an obvious Jerry move. Now trading for a LB or DT or Safety wouldn't be as sexy. Wouldn't garner over a 100 pages of comments from fan base like we have seen

You want some more opinion. They acquired the best receiver available in the league. They drafted the best guard in the draft, drafted the best pass rusher in the draft, drafted the best corner in the draft, and drafted the best receiver out of the backfield in the draft. That's my strong opinion.
Ok then. If they don't make the superbowl and win it then your opinion is wrong. Given so many best players they acquired. And so many best already on the team.
