TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

Dude not only do we not know if he’s a 1 year rental, but we desperately needed a #2 receiver. It was the teams biggest need
Yeah if it’s your fantasy team.

That DT room has no shot of being any good, and if you’ve watched any playoff football….

Anybody not happy with this trade has no idea what this case capable he is a chunk play super star - I don’t think anybody makes more chunk plays than he does.
He’s dynamite along the sidelines - this is Alvin Harper.

This might be the best trade we’ll make since Herschel Walker.

Or

The worst since Joe Galloway.
It can’t be worst than Galloway we traded two 1sts for him. We will not miss this 3rd rounder lol.

Completely agree, but then why go get a guy in his walk year? That's the one piece of this I don't like. Flipping a 3rd rounder for an uber talented WR with maturity issues I'm completely fine with, but if he succeeds in Dallas are they really going to give him $30M+ in addition to Lamb?
No one is giving him 30m per most likely regardless.

The Eagles don't seem to have a problem paying Hurts, Barclay, AJ Brown, and Devonte Smith.

So yes we can resign him.

A third. A third that could very well be high in the round.

For a headcase rental that Tomlin couldn't corral.

This is why Jerry's Cowboys never win anything.
The price is what gets me.

We now have given up a 4th rounder for a total project in Mingo and a 3rd for a guy that if I were to put odds on it, it around 80% likely to melt down here in Dallas.

I'd have taken a flier on Pickens if his cost was like a 5th rounder or worse but I just can't shake the feeling we got burned here again.

Considering the Steelers wanted #44 overall, if it ends up being a third round pick. I’d consider that fair value. If anything, it benefits the Cowboys.

Pickens is, by far, better than any other WR that was available right now.

As to signed free agent WR’s, he’s better than Diggs or Kupp. Adam’s? Dealers choice there maybe.

Bottom line, WR2 was our biggest off-season need and it’s now done. People will find reasons to be mad, but this is a big move.
And a future 3rd round pick---which by GM standards is equal to about a mid 4th in current year

I'm good with this as long as negative vibes do not surface. A player like this, given our WR corp, can help. But if he does the antics, compounded by the characterization of Milton.......move on quickly. We've had this self-implosion too long, on this team.

I'm curious which Pickens Dallas will get.

The immature kid or the talented player.

Because make no mistake, he was traded for what he does on the field.

It's the other stuff.
Man, listening to some people in Pittsburgh this morning, I don't think he's a problem in the locker room. It's mostly the antics he does on the field.

would you have rather see Dallas trade for an impact Defensive player? or Pickens? do you think we are going far with this defense!
I don't have a say in that...we needed a receiver, at least that's what most were crying about on draft day. Now we have one. I like it. Good players are needed everywhere.

Pickens finally gets a good qb. This offense, if healthy, is going to be a problem. The play-action possibilities with CeeDee in the slot, causing mayhem underneath and Pickens running behind safeties....defensive coordinators are going to hate gameplanning against us.
i like the blue pickup even more now. they can really threaten at all levels. now go get chubb ;)

Contract year. Good to great offense. He’s going to feast opposite of Lamb

If any other team made this move it would be heralded by the national media. If he was being added to the Commanders to play with Jayden Daniels, "Scary Terry", Deebo, and Tunsil, the media would be saying Washington may have caught the Eagles.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daniels does have a bit of a sophomore slump.

But if Dak isn't vastly better than he was last year before he got hurt, we're in deep, deep trouble no matter what talent we have at WR.
We will be. But like I told another poster who brought up his qb rating being a 89….it was a 91 the year prior. He just took off week 6 and raised it to a 105. The injury robbed us of knowing was he gonna continue to be bad or was he gonna start slow and finish strong. We don’t know. But I know adding Pickens and fixing this run game certainly won’t hurt him.

This same site bragged about the Eagles giving up a 3rd and a 5th for Dotson. But they want to pretend to be upset at the loss of a similar deal for a superior player?

name the impact player on defense that’s available for a third. there were rumors they were looking at ramsey, but if true landing revel killed that idea. would you rather they trade for an impact player at a glaring position of need or stand pat?

I just don’t understand the hate.

People said they needed to make moves? They made moves

People said too many holes to fill? RB, WR2, RG, DT, LB, DE all upgraded

The excuses are running out. Now the final comeback is .. but they have Dak.

I get it. Dak isn’t prime Aikman or Roger. But this team is a complete 180 on last seasons roster and has been upgraded at nearly every position
