The Answer said:It seems to The Answer that Ayodele has been a big disappointment so far, might not be cut out for the 3-4 after all....On the other hand Shanle is a beast and has elevated his game to another level this summer....only a few weeks into camp and he's running with the 1st team, and with a good showing on saturday he might not leave the starting lineup. All of this trade/showcasing is smoke and mirrors because this savvy 4 year pro will be starting on opening day...mark it down!
Also looks like Hensons days as a Cowboy are numbered....

The Answer has been studying the quarterback position in its purest form for years now as a hardcore fan and Henson simply doesn't have it. What exactly is 'it'...well it's a collective trait that is inherent in the all time greats like Marino, Aikman, Bledsoe, etc......Don't get me wrong, Henson has raw talent, but the biggest mistake he made was publicly announcing that football wasn't his true passion and opting to play baseball instead right out of college....a move that will likely haunt him the rest of his life as he ponders what could have been.
If Romo doesn't step to the plate in these upcoming preseason games....look for the front office to sign Kerry Collins as a last minute insurance policy...kinda surprised this veteran is still out there on the market to tell you the truth.

Here is the analysis that studying QB in its "purest form" produces. Enjoy.

Romo has enough arm to play in the NFL. In my observation, there wasn't a throw out on the practice field he couldn't make. I'm not going to put his arm strength in the category of say, Bledsoe, but I'm not worried about his arm.aikemirv said:Grizz, You have watched 18 practices and reported great detail which is much appreciated. There has been much discussion on this board as to whether T Romo has a strong arm or a weak arm. After watching for so long, what is your opinion on this matter?
Can he make all the throws or not?

Grizz said:He makes the throws long sometimes, but he's not always on target. When I say long, I mean more than 20 yds, he's pretty accurate under 20 yds. Then again, all three QB's have been missing long in camp regularly. Romo seems very concious of getting the ball out quick, of the 3 he almost always beats the 2.5 second buzzer, sometimes with plenty of time to spare. Thus, you see him throw short and intermediate a lot. I can say with a lot of certainty that he makes the quickest decisions of the 3 in camp.
Expect that over the weekend. I already posted a 1 week review last weekend on my blog.Duane said:Grizz I want to thank you for filling us in on practices better than anyone ever has on these boards, past or present.
Something that would be really great is a evaluation of players you saw in camp. Kind of a review of the player after two weeks and your personal feelings on them. I know that would be a ton of work but IMO it would be a great way to fill a blog out.
