Nagging injuries lead to other nagging injuries. Football is a game of nagging injuries, playing HS football for 3 years I cannot remember how many strains, sprains, dislocations and such that I had. I was not a stretcher but became one and the injuries were actually more common. I know I played 2 years straight with a strained groin and hip flexor issues ultimately I refused to let coaches know it, and with a slight over compensation I got knee tendonitis.

Being ripped is pointless for a LB. Mostly it would just lead to more injuries. I'm not saying they should be fat, but by no means would being ripped help.

I don't know I don't remember Jay Cutler being so ripped, glad he is not playing this week.

I guarantee that you will not find a single guy affiliated with any NFL team as a strength and conditioning coach who isn't intimately familiar with Louie Simmons and his training methods. While it's entirely possible that teams are not putting their maximum effort into strength and conditioning, including staying up to day with the most current methods, I'd say it's also extremely unlikely. These teams invest millions into getting their guys healthy and strong, and if there is a method that works they're going to use it.

And, unless I'm mis-remembering, a lot of Louie's guys (at least in power lifting) are also big juicers. That helps the muscles to stay strong as well, although it doesn't help the tendons and ligaments. But you have growth hormone for that kind of stuff. Unfortunately, the NFL frowns on some of Louie's chemical recovery methods. But as I said, I may be remembering wrong - it's been a few years.

this.

We do seem to have a lot of soft tissue and especially hamstring problems. If like to see ours compared to some of the newer training method teams tissue injuries.

Seemed like I read something about the Eagles last year having fewer injuries under Kelly's plan. Hydration was, in theory, a major factor in preventing these injuries.
