I appreciate Law’s time and effort he puts into his vids… but there is 2 years of bad film on Jaylon. Not to mention, getting beat by the sled…3 times.
He is a liability when on the field. We know it. The coaches know it. Let’s hope the best unit is consistently put on the field.

"feature him differently" is a nice way to say less snaps. He's going to be a 3rd or 4th and long player.

The exact opposite. One third- and fourth-and-long, Jaylon will be on the sideline. Neal and Parsons will be the linebackers in those situations.

Jaylon is going to be the middle linebacker when we are in three-linebacker sets, which will be early downs when teams are using two tight ends or a fullback or short-yardage downs.

He will get less snaps because we have two better coverage options in Parsons (speed and ability to rush the passer) and Neal. So will LVE. Having four linebackers who can play is a good thing.

There's a slight possibility Gallimore only misses the opener; at any rate he'll be back well before midseason.
yeah, but at what level? hard to see a dislocated elbow being good for stacking NFL OL.

Sounds like a coach saying what positive things he can and declining to badmouth players to the media. I like it.
I hope the reason he's singling out Jaylon's helpful coaching insights is because he realizes he's finding him more valuable off-the-field.

Hey FANBOY hows that keyboard gm job? you think DQ has not watched film on smith? seen him all PS and has good idea who he is?

you fans fans like you need to let coaches coach, far too many post on JS being cut released and the word trash and finished yet some fans here posted nice stats on his tackles and now this vid and what not..so what hes not elite so what/ if he can offer a role and do his job he is needed , he cant be cut wont be traded no one will take that deal this late in the offseason..

maybe next year to let him walk etc but this year get used to it 9 will play , crying loudly wont change that..yes hes tad overpaid but look at the defensive top plyers in this leagues yearly averages now like 15-27 mil yup i believe bosa got 27 .. how much is JS deal total on the books this season? 10mil-12? that below elite players pay scales hes around 8-9 highest paid LBs ..yes many players in this league are overpaid and under producing of you compare them to what hes paid..GET OVER IT...

can we keep the whine post limits at the 4 already open on the front page..smh

The reality here is that people have long been pretty exaggerated with their criticisms of Smith, bleeding into things like how he's lazy or not popular or dumb or not very coachable (granted some of these criticisms are limited and not widespread). Smith is a pretty popular player, so it's not a surprise that Quinn would go to him to get feedback on what's going on with other players, how they are feeling, etc.

It's nothing more than that. It also doesn't mean that Quinn is now gonna play Smith more than he should. I suspect Smith is going to find his snaps cut significantly and he'll be used in ways to try to get the most out of him.
His lack of self-awareness both on and off the field, make his case unfixable IMO.

Even if he does a 180, or something close....he cant possibly play to the level of his pay.

He will be here this year because of the contract, and he will be gone within the first four days of the 2022 league year.....no matter what 2021 brings.
