How is that delay of game when the ref held the play up?

Because when the offense subs the defense has to be allowed to matchup so the late sub by the offense caused the delay of game.

Delay of game? The ref hadn’t even sat the ball and was standing in the way between back in the center. He had to wait for them to move to snap the freaking ball.
