Agreed. The nice thing is that I think Chicago, SF, Philly, and Tenn are the only teams in the NFL with the discipline and patience to run run run till you or a penalty stop it. We are a great example of the other end of that. We can run, but we are always looking for something else.

pretty good isn’t the same as elite. You need an elite defense to pay this way and win consistently.

Um if I remember correctly the 49ers had top 5 defenses in the past. Idk what you qualify as elite tho.
