Cowboys vs Bengals

As I do every week with our opponent , I went on the Bengals message board to see what their opinions were. Doesn't really seem like they're too concerned with Dak; Zeke only has look good because "he's been playing the worst run defenses in the league" . Burfict walks on water in Cincinnati and is already a shoe in the Hall of Fame.

So here's my prediction. With their best running back not being the starter, I think they continue to struggle in the run game. AJ Green is AJ Green so he's going to eat. I wouldn't consider Dalton elite so I think our streak of getting a turnover in every game will continue.

This is still a Zimmer-less defense and it hasn't been the same since he left. I think Zeke will get his usual 100+ yards. The Bengals aren't the same team on the road as they are at home, so I predict victory for the Cowboys.

And our O is in question for both run blocking and pass protection.
Smith and Green are both hurt.
Even if Smith plays, he may not be that effective.
Green is walking in a boot...

I visited one of their boards last night. Typical homer views but they're also very skeptical of their under achieving team as well. I saw more close scores and Cowboys winning predictions. I feel really good about this game. I'm not sure why but I feel better going in than the 9'ers game. I see a mild upset coming in our favor!!

Bengals will be the be the best team Dallas has faced. Their fans have reason to be confident, theyre likely better. It will be fun to watch this line and elliott go up against their front 7.

I always thought Zimmer was a real good man..if thats what you mean?

He did nothing but field solid defenses around here. Put a league-leading 4-3 in place under Parcels' first year, switched to the 3-4 and did a great job his 2nd year, and then moved on to another successful stint in CIN after that. People hated on him something fierce here for very little reason, and I never for the life of me knew why. They had Get Rid Of Zimmer banners and sigs, and if you so much as suggested he was actually a decent DC you were a blind rabid homer for a while there.

Not so much now. Though I imagine there are still a few who will rise to the bait and defend their stances to this day. It's a group that thinks he's either still-bad, or that he learned out to coach magically once he took the star off his shirt.

Cowboyland is funny like that! I should imagine he is well regarded in Minnesota. I wasn't a member here during that time but always thought Zimmer ran a real good defense.
