Nope. That's a low % play under any circumstances, while he could've had a certain 1st down. On 3rd and 4 your focus has to be on getting a 1st.

But the reason Romo is so good, is because he usually makes those plays.

I'll take some misses like that for the potential of a huge play in the regular season.

They would try a low % play. Explain why they wouldn't . Who are you to decide what they need more work on? Anybody can dink and dunk. They may be trying to get the chemistry down on the long throws against a team other than their own. There is plenty of logic in that.
