Numbers Don't Lie: Dallas Cowboys offense poised to explode in 2025

I was expecting a fun filled mathematical treatise, full of exciting algorithms and oozing with complicated equations.

I didn't get it.

Sad now.
George Pickens’ arrival has given Prescott his strongest WR2 in years, and he’s paired with a top-three wide receiver in the league.

Not to mention, Jake Ferguson still has Pro Bowl potential.

Prescott at 4800 yards and 28 TD's. Rushing at 4.1 yards per carry average.

I wish more people would understand this.
But they don't understand. Look at the source of the story - is that an internal media site pushing out rainbows and sunshine in yet another attempt by Jerry and his lemmings to sell, sell, sell the hype and hopium? No one has a clue what this offense is going to look like until Sept 4.

Excluding his injury-ridden seasons, Prescott has four years with double-digit interceptions, and three under that mark. In the lower seasons, Dallas’ winning percentage is 69%; in the higher years, that drops down to 62%.

Jerry...for sure, YOU defined camp. Heroes, are defined by getting what is needed done. Not choosing one's own nuggets of gold...

Camp in your descriptive terms could be defined as such, as well:

Now go directly to your role reversal. :starspin:

I got my blood stripes in Korea, you? Explain what those are!:flagwave:

Yet Pickens isn't even a top 25 receiver. What makes him so special?
No, you explain and use real stats. He fits very nicely and no one would question that fact.

He and Lamb combined will be well over 2,000 yards of production combined.

Not baby crib stuff there.

The negative boils down to this:

In short, there is a clear connection between Dak’s turnover-heavy seasons and losing.

Stats similar to Dalton Shultz the year before.

Schultz and Fergeson. 2 tightends that make it obvious to ANYONE, errrrr, not obvious but mathematically a scientific fact that the offense is going to EXPLODE 2 years after their "all pro level play" that allowed them to juuuussstttt sneak into being the 9th or 10th best tight end in the league.

Nothing screams impending offensive explosion like having the 9th or 10th best tight end in the league TWO YEARS AGO.
The ninth- or 10th-best tight end is not bad, but obviously he's just one piece to the puzzle. If the ninth- or 10th-best TE is your second-best weapon, then you are probably in trouble. The player can be part of an offensive explosion, but our ability to explode on offense is going to depend on a bunch more than that.

I feel that there are plenty of reasons for optimism.

I’m optimistic about the new coaching staff.

I’m optimistic about the improvement of young offensive linemen.

I’m optimistic about the receiving corps. They added another #1 in Pickens and they have several ascending receivers behind he and Lamb. Tolbert and Turpin and potentially Mingo as well.

I’m optimistic about a pass rushers group that looks 4-deep.

Williams suffered the injury on July 28, 2024, and his recovery has been incredible. Williams shared a photo from the team's mandatory minicamp with top speeds from various positions, and he clocked the second-highest max speed on the team (21.4 mph) behind only CeeDee Lamb (21.9 mph).

Seeing these numbers come from Williams less than one year from tearing his ACL is incredible, and it shows the dedication he had to his recovery process.

If Williams can return to top form and contribute to the pass rushing rotation that also includes Micah Parsons, Dante Fowler, Donovan Ezeiruaku, and Marshawn Kneeland, opposing quarterbacks better be on notice.
