Exactly right. Took us a whole half to figure out we couldn't just hand off to Murray. Cardinals are bad against the pass. Throw the ball!

This is the balance between having an identity and imposing your will on the other guys, and taking advantage of what the other team doesn't do well.

What happened?

We are a team that is the sum of its parts. We can't win without a good game from all involved, including Romo, Murray, the offensive line and coaching.
We are a team whose defense is scrappy yet unspectacular and can't get it done if the offense isn't taking pressure off it.
We are a team that relies more on Romo than fans want to realize. The Cardinals can be taken advantage of, but Weeden can't get it done because the coaches don't trust him. Instead, we max protect and play basic pass offense, and we can't seem to take advantage of the Cardinals' weak pass defense.
We really don't have one unit that can carry the load for the long haul. We need every unit and the coaching working on all cylinders. I think this game would be different if Romo were playing.

But it is what it is.

I like Dez but he wasn't great last week, either.

Needs to show more before they get gift him the mega deal he'll no doubt ask for.

I love Dez, but he's been a disappearing act in a lot of games this year.

Only way Dez will do anything major is with protection. I don't know what you guys expect him to do.

I'm sorry, but Brandon Weeden should not be in the NFL. Cowboys misevaluated there.

I think he's played reasonably well. He needs to get some better timing down and some more accuracy. We've dialed back the playbook for him. A lot of it is trying to run into a defense set up for it. They need to throw more on first, try some pitches and runs outside, play Dunbar a bit more esp to the outside, some bubble screens and screens in general and throw the ball down the field occasionally which has always been a sore spot on a Garrett offense. On defense we need to make sure we are dropping far enough into the middle, blitz some, and make our TACKLES.
