Stephen Jones said that a quarterback will realistically be on the bench for 3 seasons. Has a rookie quarterback picked in the top 5 ever sat for 3 seasons? Romos contract makes it so restrictive to make an investment. By the time Romo is off the team, we have to decide if we want to pick up a fifth year option on a guy that has hardly seen the field.

I always root for my cowboys to win...I'm not going to waste my Sunday rooting for the Commanders. If the Cowboys lose, I won't be mad so it's a win win.

Stephen Jones has already basically said that to the fans that are listening.

I would never root against the Cowboys, I could care less about a rookie...win or lose, we have a shot at getting a special player.

In general, and especially this year, the higher the pick the better. But a few spots is the luck of the draw. You might crap out at 4 and get a HOFer at 8.

IF we want a QB this year, and I'm not sure this is the right year, then we want the highest pick. Otherwise a top 8 pick should be good. I'd like to get the 4th and trade down some and pick up a safety and get a high pick on a WR or CB. I'd pick up a guy like Wilson in the 2nd or 3rd.

I do like the QB at Memphis.
