You can definitely make the case. They wanted to give it to Lamar, and Lamar didn't do anything to mess it up. To be fair, when you factor in Lamar's rushing yards/TDs, he's up there statistically with Dak/Purdy/Tua. And the Ravens blew out the best teams in the league at the end of the season when the games mattered most. How much of that is because of Lamar? Not sure. But Lamar wins hands down for team success and big wins, and you can make the case that he's been good statistically too. But if Mahomes had Dak's numbers and Dallas' record, Mahomes would easily be MVP. So there's that.
