The refs explanation in the Buffalo game was that they called for a booth review a split second before we spiked the ball. Thus no play.

I cant listen to Troy Aikman anymore. I cannot believe Clinton Portis is his favorite player and that he went on a 10 minute rant about how unfair it is that we play at home and on thanksgiving. wow.

And Quincy Carter having some good games doesn't equate to Campbell being a lousy QB like several Cowboy posters had been saying all week...All I ever said was, he's not bad and he has shown promise...And certainly not the kind of player that Quincy was...Even when Quincy had his moments, he still threw a duck of a football...Campbell isn't that kind of passer let alone that kind of knucklehead.

And, yeah, calling out posts that lack credibility must be a sign of NOT being a fan as we all know that everyone has to agree on everything these days...That disagreement equates to lack of loyalty

I'm still not sold on Campbell.

He's still only throwing five to seven yard passes most of the time. I haven't seen him throw the ball downfield enough.

It's hard to pressure a QB that takes three and five step drops most of the time. It's a good design by the Wash coaches.

They aren't going to allow Campbell to get pressured.

How can we stop the 3 and 5 step drops? By stopping Portis and Co on first down. If you're facing a 3rd and 4, you can drop quickly and throw.

Eli did it to us the first game.

And like in that first game with Eli, Cowboys will simply have to make the most of their possessions, i.e. score points...That'll put a kabosh on the dink and dunk game...Otherwise, they'll drag this game out to simply a few possessions...The onus in on the offense to convert and capitalize...The defense simply shouldn't give up the big play and continue to apply pressure

coverage guys have been playing WAY too far off the receivers (again)...even on 3rd and shorts they are lining up 10 yds or so off the LOS

not sure what they are afraid of

as for the pressure, other than a couple of plays there really hasnt been any

David

Campbell's tough to sack. He can wait till the last second with guys hanging off him and still muscle the ball downfield. He hasn't thrown stupid picks lately, either.

well hopefully we do that here...but they have definitely not played their best games at home this yr...the defense was bad on opening night, obviously because of injury...but we played a lousy half vs St Louis too, and then thee's the 48 pts given up to New England

also looks like we are in line for another game at home where we have more penalties than the other team...its really amazing

David
That's a more accurate assesment. We have played better on the road. But to imply that we paly "so poorly" at home when not taking the second half of games intro inconsideration is misguided.

Washington has come to Dallas with a "W" on their minds.

The Cowboys are their superiors - but I have to doff the cap... the 'Skins will prolly make the playoffs if they can play like this the rest of the way. They just need to pretend all their opponents are Dallas.

It's no secret that Roy Williams has a big bulls eye written all over him. All teams look to exploit him. I have not seen his impact on the run game to the extreme that we cannot look at bringing in Watkins more for him.

what does that have to do with this play?

My previous post:

Seriously, why wasn't that catch reviewed?

I thought the review booth would wait to see if you could spike the ball in time and then if you could get the spike off, they'd review the play if it looks questionable (there's no chance to view replays in a hurry up)?

It's what they did to TO in Buffalo.

I believe this is his 15th or 16th start today.

I am just happy we finally found our Qb of the future.

And? He's in his 3rd year. When Romo started his first game last year, he WAS NOT a rookie.

Washington has done a good job this season of keeping the games close. We did the same when we had a bad team. If you keep it close, then you can have a chance at the end.

We've done a poor job so far in all phases. I felt that we had to come in and lay an egg for Washington to win.

So far, that's what we've done. But we're a second half team.
