Why do you need to see it? Follow the logic. If Dallas, Arizona, & Seattle all lost, they would all be 11-5.

That would have meant GB would have been #1 seed at 12-4.

Seattle would win the west due to tie breaker over Arizona. That means Dallas & Seattle would tie for the #2 seed at 11-5. Dallas would win that tie breaker due to head to head and would get the #2 seed.

It is because it was a 3 way tie breaker at 12-4 based on how it turned out that Dallas lost out. Different tie breakers for a 3 way tie vs 2 way tie.

And what about Detroit? They would be 11-5 also thereby creating a 3 way tie.

No, Detroit would still be a wildcard team and not eligible for a bye. It would still have been only a 2 way tie with Seattle.
