I'm thinking the pass was to Beasley and Tanner ran a lazy route that kept the LB in the middle of the field.

This may be the case, but I really get weary of "its never Tony's fault". I have heard some of the most creative explanations for why it wasn't Tony's fault as I've heard in watching football for over 40 years.
