Cowboys vs Eagles ***Official Game Thread***

This loss has nothing, NOTHING, to do with play calling. I guess some people will never realize that.

but he is right!

Payton is just calling a bad game.

I've been calling it way early in this thread. He should've seen they couldn't run the ball. He should've seent hat the pass protection was very good early in the game and he should've taken advantage of it. If he had, a couple of things could've resulted... Some scoring chances AND the running game could have opened up. But he blew his chance and when the pass protection finally broke down from midway through the 2nd quarter, that took a lot of options away.

Hello 5-4...2-2 in the division.
As uninspired,lethargic effort I've seen...truly a letdown.

Ain't over yet...we score quick enough and we have a shot.

I realize that this might be construed as a "knee jerk" kind of post but I vote that we no longer allow a *BYE* week for the players. Even if they're not scheduled to play for that particular Sunday - continue to practice as if you are. If you want to go easy on them, fine - just schedule more time for lifting weights and getting attention in the training room. Have them watch more film for the upcoming game, more practices without pads, whatever. Just no more than 1 (possibly 2) days off and not consecutive days in a row.

Parcells commented on this when they had had several days off during this *BYE* prior to coming back to practice and how badly they looked out there when they did.

I think there is something to that (blaming the play calling)

But not if you consider the way the players have looked. No effort or heart tonight

You should never totally abandon the run unless you just cant win......face it, its not Payton's fault, and its not Zimmers fault, the players are responsible for this one.....no one else

Post of the night.

We came into this game covering our "youknowwhats". We never seemed to want to fight back this game.
