Cowboys Vs Falcons ***Game Thread***

I'm not sure why any objective Dallas fan is surprised by our poor performance on defense. We've seen how bad they are. Heck, I would have been surprised if we actually played well on defense. Our secondary and scheme are awful. I'm not sure if it's Parcells' fault or Zimmers' fault, but someone needs to come up with some new ideas. Last year I thought it was Payton's fault, but that doesn't look like the case anymore. Parcells is not as good as everyone thinks he is. He is average at best. It's that simple.

What do you guys expect... a Dallas blowout every game? It is not going to happen. This is an exciting game. It will probably come down to the wire. This is the parity NFL.

When we're up 14-0 I expect us to maybe hold that lead, or something.

One of the worse Red zone teams in the league hasnt even broken a sweat trying to get the ball in the endzone vs us.

We had better step up on defense in the 2nd half...or we are going to lose. Our offense needs to drive the ball some as well. We are not keeping our defense off the field. Right now...we look pretty bad.

Given the amount of draft picks and FA money we've spent on Defense over the past few years, I really expect a LOT LOT more.

defense looks good on paper...not so much on the field.

2 very predictable run plays and it's 3rd and 2 and the Falcons pick it off on a tip.

I think that was the momentum turning point of the half and where the team lost control of the game. I hate the first 2 plays called. Pure Vanilla.

We blew the chokehold completely on that series! Stupid playcalling if you ask me.

Lets see if we can return to early form in the 2nd half.

A shootout with these guys the way our corners are playing might not be a great idea.

I read a book about the Baltimore Ravens called 'Next Man Up' and in it, Brian Billick says his teams always do well in the last quarter of the season because he doesn't kill them in training camp and preseason. His theory is that your guys won't be as gassed after the weekly NFL grind if your camps aren't that strenuous. Maybe that's why we always tank in December...BP is pretty hard on players in preseason and all year long.
