Cowboys vs. Fantasy Football

I won't get Jacobs, Eli, Boss, Santana Moss, Cooley, Portis, or McNabb.

I've had Jacobs, Eli, and Portis at one point or another...

I feel like I need to go bathe.

a) Do you pick any Cowboys, or do you think it's a jinx, and

b) Are you willing to choose any NFC East opponents for your team and risk having to root for them?

A. Not generally, because I don't trust myself to be an objective evaluator of players I'm rooting for IRL.

B. Yes. First, because my fantasy teams *are* jinxed and I'm perfectly happy to aim that right at Eli or Kolb. Second, because I have no problem rooting against my fantasy team for a week. I get beat because Romo has big night and DeSean Jackson does nothing, I am one happy camper.

Yeah but that still doesn't change the fact that he was advising the guy to draft Foster in the 9th as if the guy hadn't had his draft yet.

No I just conned people with trades including people like Lesean Mccoy, Gaffney and Bowe, hyping them up and then saying I wouldn't trade em for anything and having all my league-mates begging for them

Im trying to do it with Beanie Wells but no ones biting yet, im not going to giveup ill get something. This week they are playing the rams, so he should have a good game. If not ill just cut him since I wont get nothing and he is benched.


We drafted like Aug8. All my leagues drafted before aug12th, so I don't know what rounds people like Foster and Forsett go in now, I know that I grabbed Foster in the the 21st and gaffney is the 22nd and was very pleased with that.(it was a IDP 27 round draft)

I don't understand why leagues draft so early. You guys rookies? Too many injuries happen during preseason. Look at people that draft Ben Tate and Sydney Rice.

i play in 20 leagues, i make it to the super bowl in 90% of them.

20 leagues, wow. I never join more than 1 each season. I'd get to confused on who I should pull for to put up big numbers and vice versa.

How does that guy have time to do drafts? I'm in 4 leagues and it's hard to coordinate draft days with everyone. 20 might be a stretch...

i join leagues that are about to draft and need a guy to fill spots. i get asked all the time and if i have time i do it. its not hard to go through and set your line up each week just sit down and do it. i like to join leagues with different formats and if it is a similar format i like to try to draft different players, it makes me follow the NFL as a whole and not just a few teams. im also commish in 7 so i get to set the draft date lol.

i only have one money league therefore i know which ones to really root for. the rest are just to challenge myself to know whats going on in the league and the best strategy for different format leagues

Actually, it can be an advantage if you do your research. Obviously players can get injured. But if you dig deep, you can figure out some of the outcomes before others pick up on it. Like Nicks, I drafted him in two of my leagues, and one of them, I got him really late because people weren't following team reports. In the league I run, I leave two roster spots open after the draft, that way people can pick up players if a guy gets hurt or banged up.

this is my first year playing, and I ended up with 3 cowboys.

Romo as my second pick, and I got witten and felix both in later rounds.
