With the NFL being as such a physical sport, why aren’t things like this just brushed under the rug like in hockey? Why do they need to make suck a big deal about an inevitable fight or two?

I agree with this tbh, it should be a 5 minute deal like it is in hockey. THey need penalty boxes in the NFL, or, as they say in rugby, the sin bin.
