Game Day ***Cowboys vs Giants post game thread***

lol, please. The running game was because of the running game. If anything, the Giants wanted Cassel to throw more.

Cassel did the best he could do, but this was the worst performance turned in by a Cowboys QB this year, especially considering we did have a great ground attack. And lol @ all the Cassel sunshine-pumpers from the last two weeks. Glad I don't have those embarrassing posts forever stamped on my profile.

Its trading one evil for the other. One QB with a rocket arm that wont throw farther then 7 yards, and QB with an average to below average arm that will take a shot any chance he gets.

I stick with Cassell right now because defense know he will go downfield and cant committ to the line loke with Weeden

And right into his wobbly passes

I still prefer him over WeDone. He actually played better than I thought he would. I thought he was not going to make any plays and just be a turn over machine since this was his first game in this offense and he hasn't played in a while.

Yeh he did make some questionable throws but he also made plays using the the whole field.
At least he doesn't have that deer in a headlight look we got from WeDone at times.

His Weeden checkdown ended our offense's final drive

He did no such thing. There was still no fear of Dallas doing anything deep. The OL and McFadden were just outstanding... it's a shame because all we needed was a Weeden vs. NO type of game. Not to put it all on Cassel because he actually didn't do that bad seeing as how he hadn't played a game in more than a year. But I'm legitimately worried that like Brad Johnson, his expiration date silently passed during the inactivity.

Cassell went deep more times in one pass then Weeden has all year. Unfortunately that pass was picked off

This is the first time we have looked like a NFL offense in a month. Unfortunately our players suck and coaches. We are not that talented!

Don't get mad at Steven A. on this one.....even when he laughs. I don't know what Skip can say to help diffuse the humor coming on First Take.

oh i dont get mad at him. that was a long time ago. went from that to laughing. now im just bored with him. says the same stuff.

he wont acknowledge though how important Romo is to this team.

Yeh no doubt but I'm looking at the whole game. I'm sure WeDone would not have made some of the throws Cassel did.

As I said this was his first game so I wasn't expecting much. What was encouraging was he can actually make some plays in this offense and get everyone involved. Not just Witt and the RBs.

The object of the game is not to "go deep", it's to win. Maybe now you and Cassel both understand why Weeden, who was the opposite of careful in college and Cleveland, suddenly comes here and loses his nerve after practicing with Terrance Williams for two years.
