Serious question. What exactly has Garrett done since he's been here? Last year, with Jerry's offensive line & Linehan's play-calling, we went a long ways. But I'm trying to figure out Garrett's impact on this team.

Well, the team kept fighting...
We were right in it against the division leaders and it took three interceptions a bad call by the refs to take away one of ours..and....a kickoff return td..

Keep in mind harris rarely does that ..
Heck that was NY s first return touchdown in a long time..
Add to that the fact we still had a chance until beasley muffed the punt..
You see this team has fight in them..
This should have been a blowout loss..
Without Romo and Dez..also factor in the life sucking turnovers and kick return and its a miracle we even had a chance..

Also people fail to realize weve been in every game this season..without our MVP...and those games were against winning football teams..the toughest part of our schedule..if we come out of this, this team has a real chance..

Just brutal. And no takeaways on our side.

And yet the coaches are held totally blameless.............at least that is what the weekly Garrett fan club tells me..........just after yet another loss.

Just curious, anybody think Garrett can coach up the team to win one dam game without Romo?..................I highly doubt it at this point.

Don't get mad at Steven A. on this one.....even when he laughs. I don't know what Skip can say to help diffuse the humor coming on First Take.

How bout just don't watch which is what I do.

Remember when Dez went down and you heard a lot of talk about Escobar picking up some of the slack? The dude is totally awol.

I just assume get rid of JG and let Romo run the team....

Romo found ways to win

I know you guys want to make it all about Romo, but I'm sorry. Up 28-14 against Atlanta, you should win that game. On the road at New Orleans, you should give your offense a chance in overtime. Today, pick 6..kick return for TD. This stuff isn't Romo, it's incompetence from the staff to the players. This team should be 5-1 without Romo

Going 12-4 and coming within one horrific call from playing for the right to go to the SB (in a game against Seattle, in which we had a great chance of winning) is not an anomaly.

I suggest you look up the meaning of the term, compare last season with Garrett's record before and since, and then attempt to mount a more compelling defense of your position.

oh i dont get mad at him. that was a long time ago. went from that to laughing. now im just bored with him. says the same stuff.

he wont acknowledge though how important Romo is to this team.

No one will acknowledge that, because it feels too good to celebrate the Cowboys suckness. Recognizing the Cowboys situation takes away the joy of their plight. Clumping them with every other team in this pathetic division makes them feel better.

Romo is the best quarterback in the league.

Dez is the best reciever in the league.

Even with the incompetence on the coaching staff we have the best team in football by a mile if these guys are healthy.

They hide all the warts of this staff.

Don't have to, your argument is weak. Last year speaks for itself, it was not a fluke. We were a damn good team! This year, up to this point, we are not. I really don't think, considering your vast knowledge of the subject matter, I have to explain to you why.

For those automatically assuming Romo is back vs MIA keep in mind that they play 4 days later on Thanksgiving. Should we really expect a player coming off a broken collarbone to play 2 games in 5 days and do it effectively? I bet we don't see him until the holiday.
