They’ll be changing the rule to give it to the offense at the point of the fumble. It’s Ben discussed in the past. It’s a stupid rule the way it is right now.

I actually have never heard of that rule until now, was it recently changed? It certainly might be the worst rule in the history of worst rules in any Sport

And where would you propose they put the ball? At that point you’re just making stuff up.

I repeat, don’t fumble it out of the end zone. The only thing that makes sense at that point is a touchback. Anything you change it to would be fake.

you really can't figure that it's the last place the player clearly had possession?

this is one of those topics there should be 100% agreement. it always amazes me that there are a few that insist the insanity is the only way.

PS - if a player could control where they fumbled a ball, wouldn't they just not fumble to begin with?
