Game Day Cowboys vs Packers post game thread

Absolutely. A rookie is the long game. Cant have high expectations for any rookie DE. But that rookie is who will be your long term pass rusher. You add a veteran to provide an immediate impact

Exactly, I have been preaching this tune for years but we keep dumpster diving hoping Marinelli can squeeze Gold out of a turd!

Considering we didn't invest in them, that isn't surprising. Now we need to correct that in the next draft. That said Gregory changes the outcome of this game
Unfortunately, he smoked himself out of the league. I have erased him from any "what if" scenarios.

Regardless. I give much props to the players on his team. I am proud of the most of all most all of them. Some of the coaches (yes, never bought into them all season), not so much.

Red is being interviewed right now and was just asked about clocking the ball with 50 seconds left instead of just running a play. His response:

"We felt like it was the right time. We wanted to save the last timeout."

For what?? Defense..?

My God, I'm sorry, but this man should not be a HC..
He's still learning

Every damn season we get to the divisional round we end up with a "bad matchup" either a hot Giants team a hot Aaron Rodgers, or playing in Lambeau or Minnesota.....If you can't get to the NFCCG with HFA throughout, I don't know what else they can do......Get better players on D would be a good start I guess.
Yeah!!! They need to get better pass rushers!!!!

If you look at our defensive roster and think coaching was the reason we lost today you're the one who doesn't get it

How many improbable losses does this team have to suffer before people stop making excuses for this staff? You just don't give Rodgers any time if you can avoid it and they did it twice (half time and the end of the game). We needed 6 to end the half and we threw the ball 3 straight times. It's just pathetic.

And while the D had a rough start, the Butler penalty and questionable play calling was a huge factor. Are you telling me this team looked prepared? Please.....

an utter moron, even if his team had not looked completely unprepared in the first half, that single decision is enough to fire him

the fourth quarter is winning time, despite all the idiocy in the first half, they had the game in front of them, and we gave it away because our coaching staff lacks basic understanding of situational football. They either had no plan and panicked, or legitimately thought that was a good idea, which may be worse. Anyone who knows anything about football could see the exact scenario that played out after we spiked it, it was a gutless, giveup, scared call.
So stupid to give up a down there too. We were at the 40, as it is we only gained 6 yards after that and had to kick a long FG. Plus left time for the inevitable. Onumentally stupid, you hurry up to the line and run a play. Most teams take a shot down field there
