In 2003, we both need a QB and RB.
Panthers get Delhomme and Davis, we stick with Quincy and Hambrick.
Panthers knock us out of the playoffs and you know the rest of the story.

In 2005, we both need a CB and OG.
Panthers get Lucas and Wahle we get Henry and Rivera.

Is Fox out foxing Parcells?

No one thought Delhomme would be much better than Carter in 2003. Remember, he was third string on a bad team.

You are right re Davis and Wahle but wrong on Henry. Anthony only looks like a worse signing because of his injury. He was an animal before the injury.

You're crazy, I'd take Lucas over Henry without thinking twice.

lucas got owned by keyshawn all day. forget him. so far none of carolinas opponents have decided to take steve smith out of the equation as we did. it is how you beat carolina. I mean the lowly bears offesne almost put up 28 points on carolina. give me a break. we beat carolina in their own house. seattle if healthy will win this week.

Remember, the great teams know how to how to evaluate talent. The basis for the three super bowls in the 90s was Jimmy Johnson's drafts, and then knowing each player's strengths to mold his team. The fact that Delhomme was passed over by the Cowboys indicates their talent rating system wasn't very good. Good luck or bad luck. Jimmy Johnson didn't believe in luck.
