Definitely has got the leg. Kicks over 50 are a struggle for him, though, based on camp and his pro career so far. Considering he was hitting in practice from the distance he missed from and he had plenty of leg, it's something he'll have to grow into mentally.

I'm not discouraged by him. I am concerned about not having at least some reliability on kicks over 50, although that does make it easier to not be tempted to try them.

Luepke is the only FB type on the team getting any play at all in preseason.
Ill be very upset if we keep a 4th TE in McKeon over Luepke. Go with 3 TEs, and if someone gets hurt, bring in a guy off the streets.

I agree, but if you're running a lot of 2TE sets as MM claims, you can't get away with just 3. Maybe slip McKeon through waivers and bring him back.
