Dunbar needs to be our RB between the 20's. Let Murray pound it in.

It was an ugly win, but I'll take it

I've thought this for a while, and I don't mean that as a knock against Murray. Dunbar just has that electrifying ability to turn a small gain into a big one.

The question would be his ability to hold up given a bigger load. I just like what he offers in the Brian Westbrook-type mode.

A 4-7 team that received a "gift" TD right off the bat...

Give a 4-7 team a gift TD every game and they aren't going to be under .500 for long.

It was a good win for Dallas.

Yes it is.

I felt that spotting them 7 right off the bat took any 'short week' advantage that we had away.

Tell that to the Patriots. Ravens. Steelers. Saints. Giants. They've seemed to be able to escape this parity you speak of over recent years.

We're not a victim of anything but mismanagement.

Ok then how many wins do the Giants have since 2003 vs us?

I'll answer for you. It's 95 + 1 today vs 91 for the Giants.

Balt 102
NO 97
NE 134
Pitt 98

So we're better than the Giants since 2003, roughly the same for NO and Pitt, 6 behind Balt, and a good bit behind NE. Not a lot of meat in your statement.

Nice comeback. If the opponent is average or better, we are looking at a 40 spot or worse. Fortunately it was the Raiders.

Well, they essentially gifted us back with the fumble on the snap exchange, so canceling out the gifts, we beat them 24-17, and were able to kneel out the game. So I'm pleased with that.

There's merit it what you posted... I just think when you're suddenly behind 7-0 after 12 seconds... It a big-time shot.

Oh, I agree. That can deflate you (and your fans) in a hurry and get a visiting team really pumped up.

There's not a lot of meat to my statement talking about teams that contend in the playoffs and add rings?

The Cowboys, over the last 17 years, have been one of the worst franchises in the NFL. In terms of, wait for it, playoff success. Not average. Not mediocre. One of the very worst.

So it's a little hard for me to read fans like you who are so quick to accept it. It's okay that we're no longer the Dallas Cowboys. That darn parity thing mandates it.

No. It doesn't. The GM mandates it. Parity doesn't have a thing to do with it.

28 minutes of terrible football followed by 32 minutes of excellent football. Seems like the microcosm of the Garrett era in Dallas.

Very happy with the win. We will need to play 60 minutes of good football to win in Chicago next week. Hopefully all the guys with the hammys will be back. Especially Lee.

Happy to be 7-5.

We started out sloppy and tightened up in the second half. I'll take a win any day.

Two things that stood out to me that I hope we can see more of.

1. Our run defense. The Dline did a good job closing gaps and containing Oakland's attack.

2. The use of players outside of Witten and Dez. I love how we're trusting/utilizing Beasley more. I was also impressed with how we used Dunbar and Murray. We need to continue this trend and open up our offense.

Good win and now our boys can rest up for MNF!!

Who are the Bears to say we need to do anything. The Bears are going to have to play good to beat us as well. We just need to win. I don't care if we play 30 minutes of good football.

The Bears haven't said anything. No idea what you are talking about.

I think it's pretty obvious to most people that if we play 60 minutes of good football our chances of winning are much higher than if we play 30 minutes of good football. Didn't think I needed to spell that out.
