Cowboys Vs Saints ***Game Thread***

Is this 1996 all over again? This feels like opening day at best, fast start then proceed to fertilize the field.

I for one am not giving up on the game...........Cowboys wake up in 2nd half and win 35-28. Make your bets now.

you think our defense is holding them to 7 pts with the way they are playing?

they've had 250 yds and 44 plays...td drives of 88 and 96 yds

and we are at HOME for crying out loud

just freaking pathetic

this kind of crap happens every yr with this clown Zimmer

Payton is embarrasing Parcells, Zimmmer and Sparano on National TV.

He's showing Bill this is how you run an offense, he has Zimmer completely befuddled and off-balance and Gibbs has Romo totally perplexed.

Unbelievable game plan on both sides of the ball.

The game is not over, we completely screwed ourselves on O with the playcalling. We can come back but we have to adjust on D, we have to adjust to the dinking and dunking though.

I finally got Dish and a tivo so I could watch the game more then once and
so I could watch the National Finals Rodeo--At least the rodeo was enjoyable

We are being out played and out coached:banghead:

we're gonna need a great effort by both sides of the ball in this next half to win this game.

I guaruntee you that parcells is gonna play a power run game to keep the ball out of the saints hands.

I think overall the defense is doing the best they came under the circumstances that they have been on the feild about 75% of the time so far.

Something to think about folks i hope its nothing but romo hasn't played that well against the better teams especially in the first half against indy, nyg (twice) and now the saints.

This is starting to become an ugly trend, and i dont know if you can even consider the panthers legit because they've been stinking it up.

I've stated this earlier the difference in all those other games is that we hung around for that 4th quarter magic but if romo plays like this in the 3rd i can easily see us down 3-4 touchdowns and its over.

i say we give them a dose of julius and mb3 we can still score by running the ball(see julius jones run and jax vs indy game)

Lets get smart coaches and run the ball
that may actually work if your defense could hold the other team, we are down by 14 points and they are killing the defense, not so sure we will be able to keep them off balance as we may like

They should be running and then running passes off of playaction after they've sucked them into it. Dallas is going to get blown out at this rate to an inferior football team.

New Orleans for sure is inferior but not with this HC calling plays on offense. He really outcoaches Mr. Zimmer. Again it's Zimmers old problem: Give me a flexible offense with no really go to guy and Zimmer is lost. Give him an offense where everybody knows where the ball will go to (eg Indi) then he can give a team some good calls. You all see: i love me some Zimma

Romo plays his second medicro game in a row. WRs can't get open fast enough and our O-Line doesn't give Romo enough time.

We don't use our ground game enough. Either we haven't it in our today's game plan (bad idea) or we just forgot about it (bad too). I don't think that it will be enough to establish a good running game with only 1 half and 14 point down.

I hope Romo is able to give us a good 2nd half!

It's time to ride Julius Jones. He's the only thing working for us right now.

It'll be interesting to see how Romo plays the second half. I thought last week was his "bad" game. Guess not.....Hopefully, these are just bumps in the road. I would hate to see Romo become a Jake Delhomme type player. Hot.....then cold......then cold some more.....then hot....

The true character of championship players and teams is to see how they respond to bad performances. If we don't rebound this next half, then we'll see how we respond next week.

You know I am a big D Ware fan. Never been one to rag on D Ware and praise Merriman.

The problem is we draft D Ware and ask him to be Dexter Coakley. Can we please unleash D Ware??? Coakley could cover just fine.

Dallas is fifth from last in sacks. It is a known fact that if you give the QB all day to pass you will get torn apart.

Let's wait 30 more minutes before we panic shall we.
You can't play like this against playoff teams and expect to win. It will be a comeback for the ages should Dallas prevail.

Our defensive scheme is horrible. I hate it that we can't cover %^&!
All of that short stuff is killing us, other teams can stop it, why can't we?

All we are good at on defense is stopping the run, well OMG Parcells, have you ever thought about a pass rush?

You're right. Bill must really not acknowledge that a pass rush leads to more success. I'll call Jerry and have you interviewed for the HC job.

Well I'm with you. I really thought this would be a good game. We're not stopping them and Romo is not playing well. You can't give the number one offense in the league too many chances to score.

I don't know if we can still run the ball and win but I say they start the next half running then throwing. This team is horrible against the run.

They have had 2 drives over 80 yards haven't they? That is the most disapointing thing to me.

Can we please get back to the run game and play some Ball control? Let Barber and Jones gash this defense.

You bring nothing every game thread. It's just hate against Zimmer.
Anything else up there in your brain?

ok your right fool

this has been a defensive gem by the master

If we come out and establish our running game, we'll be fine. The N.O. D is playing pass 1st, and not respecting our running game. This is putting too much pressure on Romo. We have to run the ball, and then it will open the passing lanes, and keep N.O. from jumping our pass routes. Also, the run will allow us to run an in-and-up when they try to jump TG's slant route.

I don't think that Romo has had a chance to find a rythm. I think we can still pull it off, but the whole team needs to play much better.

why do i stay up to watch this crap? this is an *** whipping!
no. 2 seed, ha ha ha! right!

How i wish we had a D that could actually pressure a QB... you know every other 3-4 D i see out there creates turnovers and gets sacks. We dont do either of the 2, this D is a disgrace to the dominant 3-4 Defenses out there. Not to mention teams like Pitt, SD, and NE their defenses are creative while this is the most vanilla D probably in the NFL. It doesnt matter how many we blitz, the other teams knows who is coming and are able to pick it up easily
