Good point but offense itself is (predominately) the integral factor for scoring. Personally I would not like them altering the significant of an offensive player having the option of going out of bounds and still being eligible. One foot argument could easily change to two feet, etc.That doesn’t answer the question. So if a player steps 1 foot out of bounds and comes back in and makes a tackle should that not be a penalty? Why is it only a penalty if you touch the ball.
According to your boundaries theory this should extend to everyone on the field.
