I hate when these threads evolve into a "bash the guy who does not agree with my opinion" It's just plain dumb. We all are by definition Cowboy FANS, otherwise we would not be on this forum day after day. Week after week, year after year. Calling people out as not real fans because they don't see things all the same way is just a waste of time. Does not make people super fans or other trolls, just means we sometimes see things differently.
This game is a perfect example of that. If we all are being honest, at the start of this season I bet 99 % of all posters here would have written down a loss for this game. For all the reasons we all know 17 out 18, SB champs, destroyed an offensive team in last years SB. And that is what we thought this team would have, an offense but no D.
Well, our team is playing a hell of a lot better than any of thought they would, or could. But they are not a complete team yet, getting there, but not yet.
IF they can play error free, meaning turnovers (Tony and DeMarco) they have a chance. IF we can gang tackle and not have busts in the secondary, they have a chance.
I don't like the term "Moral victories" However, What I hope to see is a Dallas team that can and will smack Seattle in the mouth when they get smacked. Win or lose this is a barometer game, that will show us how far the team has come, and where we still need to get too.
I don't think we have as far to go as most of us thought before the season started - and that's a great feeling, and out look for things to come. This game is against a tough team in a tough environment.
I am actually very nervous about this game, I want Dallas to play smart tough football. I do not want to see us get blown out and undo all the good work that has been done so far (Because you know most of the pundits would like nothing more than to slam us again).
So, win or lose - I'm praying for a close hard fought game that is a stepping stone onto bigger and better things in the near future. To be honest, I think it will be hard to win this one. But the character of our team needs to shine though no matter what.
I'm a huge Cowboy fan, and a realist. We are getting closer, but may not quite be there just yet. So, will be watching this game ever so closely.
This is a huge game for the franchise.
23-20 Seattle.
Flame away... (Oh yeah, sorry about the long rant )
