I'm not going to predict the score (call it superstition), but what I feel like may happen is that Dallas goes in to Seattle, and has a tough, physical game with the Seahawks with plenty of hard hitting action with some pushing and shoving. The Cowboys stand toe-to-toe with the home team, giving out just as many hard hits as they take and getting either a close win or a close loss.
Either way, I feel like this game ends up being a stepping stone to where they want to be by the end of the season... another rung in the ladder of their ascension back towards the elite teams in the league. I have seen it before, when a football team finally believes in itself and has a confidence that they can play with anyone. It is a powerful thing and if it is your team that gets it... it is a beautiful thing. I think that nothing (besides getting a franchise QB) can give a team the boost that you finally get from proving to itself that it really belongs in the conversation about the best teams.
This might be a win, or it might be a loss, but I think it is a path to a more dangerous team by the last few games of the season.
I'm not predicting greatness for the 2014 Cowboys, but they're on their way, I think. With the right players on defense in the offseason, I think they can compete with anyone in 2015.
Sunday in Seattle is the next step.
