This game has gone down in history as Randy Moss' revenge on the Cowboys for skipping him in the draft. I guess it was that; he only had three catches, but they all went for long TDs. However, watching the game again, it was a little more competitive than I remembered it. I don't know, if Deion would have played, maybe it would have turned out differently? Dallas receivers, including Irvin, were dropping passes on Troy left, right and center in this one though.

Geez. I was at that game. Remember it like it was last year. Freaking Randy Moss.

We couldn't tackle in this game--Moss' last touchdown should have been stopped for a short gain. Troy took too many hits and we dropped too many balls. Troy threw like 57 passes in that game, yet Emmitt had three scores--Weird.

Passing up on Moss cost the Cowboys another 2 Super Bowl championships.

LOL Moss was on arguably, one of the best teams in NFL history and they still came up short in the Super Bowl. He was on one of the most explosive offenses in 1998, they came up short. Went to the Super Bowl again in 2012, came up short.

Moss would have given us what he gave to Oakland. We were nearing a rebuild mode and when Randy wasn't motivated, he was a distraction on the field and gave little to no effort.

Also, so much hindsight - Randy coming out of college had a lot of problems off the field. I have no cares about us passing on Randy Moss, most of this fan base I can promise you would have hated him before he left us - he would have caused everyone a headache.

Irvin got hurt in the 4th game of 1999. While the duo of Irvin and Moss would have tore up the league, it's a bit much to say that Moss alone (without Irvin) would have pushed the Cowboys to 2 more Super Bowl championships.

Nah.

I remember wanting Dallas to draft Moss. For the game, I wanted Dallas to win, but Moss to score multiple TDs. Still can't believe they didn't select him.

Deion was injured. Kevin Smith was a shell of himself. The rest of the CBs were CFL caliber. Minnesota could've scored 60 points that day.

Yeah but 99 was our year, Aikman, Moss, Irvin, Emmitt, and a washed up Deion who could sprinkle a few dashes of Primetime would've went to the Super Bowl.

I would have much rather us have kept this guy, who isn't talked about enough and underappreciated. Could have been a key piece in continuing our success on offense after 95

Almost 20 years ago is absolutely unreal to me. Man am I getting old.

Seriously, it seems like yesterday. But there are probably people posting on this board who weren't even alive when that game was played.

This guy never won games. Randy Moss on the other hand made the Vikings and rejuvenated about 5 crappy QBs careers. I am extremely confident that we would have been to another super bowl in 98 or 99 with Moss.

Stupidest mistake we ever made at the draft. I was waiting for his name to be called and then ELLIS? Good heavens. Would have had our successor for Michael too and wouldn't have made that awful trade for Galloway. How many years did that set us back?

3 receptions 163 yards 3 touchdowns. One of the greatest stats lines I've seen.

:banghead:

Should have been a Cowboy.

Should have been a [insert any team selecting within the first 20 picks that passed]

lol, special special talent... won't see another Randy Moss.

That guy was one one of the most impressive Jaguars team in history, going 14-2. So, well, you are wrong.

And Moss helped Cunningham and Culpepper - outside of that, the dude didn't do jack **** for Oakland, then had Tom Brady as his QB and couldn't help them win a Super Bowl before he couldn't keep his mouth shut and was sent packing.
