Seriously, it seems like yesterday. But there are probably people posting on this board who weren't even alive when that game was played.

I was a freshman in college when this game was played. It seems like yesterday to me too.

Stupidest mistake we ever made at the draft. I was waiting for his name to be called and then ELLIS? Good heavens. Would have had our successor for Michael too and wouldn't have made that awful trade for Galloway. How many years did that set us back?

I didn't truly get over us passing on him until we drafted Dez.

Yikes, the Galloway trade. Talk about compounding your mistakes. Then, the RW11 trade, egads.

We gave up way too much no matter how you slice it, but Galloway was at least a legit stud receiver. He just happened to blow out his knee right when we got him (which also happened to be Aikman's last year). And given the trash we had at QB, he never had much of a chance for success here. He did go on to TB afterwards and posted some really nice seasons.

I don't have anything bad to say about Joey Galloway the player, but we gave up wayyyy too much... we didn't even have a QB to get him the ball. If the timing was different I would have loved to have seen what he could have done with Romo.

Roy Williams on the other hand... yuck

That guy was one one of the most impressive Jaguars team in history, going 14-2. So, well, you are wrong.

And Moss helped Cunningham and Culpepper - outside of that, the dude didn't do jack **** for Oakland, then had Tom Brady as his QB and couldn't help them win a Super Bowl before he couldn't keep his mouth shut and was sent packing.
Lol you forgot Brad Johnson Jeff George and Gus Fourott. Please stop, you sound like an idiot. The games best receiver of all time other than rice over a JAG

You didn't make an argument.

You stated, "The guy never won" - He did, and helped Jaguars have one of their greatest seasons. He had a performance in the playoffs that sent both Jimmy Johnson and Dan Marino into retirement.

Also, what about Brad Johnson? His total high in TD passes in Minnesota was 20 TDs in 13 games, and an 84 rating. And it's Frerotte, who started 2 games for Minny.

And Jimmy Smith was a JAG? Upon leaving the NFL, he was 12th in receiving yards. Let me throw out a comparison for you

Jimmy Smith - 862 receptions, 12,287 yards, 14.3 average, 67 TDs

And let's compare it to this player, and I'll keep his name unknown for ya

750 receptions, 11,904 yards, 15.9 average, 65 TDs,

If Jimmy Smith is a "JAG", the stats I just showed you must be JAG numbers as well. Also, you'd be listing a lot of greats as "JAGs". NEXT!

Not to mention all the first round draft picks spent trying to find the next Charles Haley. Pittman? Ekuban? Carver?

I suspect you are comparing Jimmy Smith to Michael Irvin.

This was the last Cowboys game I missed. I went to my Aunt and Uncles for Thanksgiving, and despite numerous passive aggressive hints to put the game on, it never happened.

Maybe you got lucky. It wasn't pretty.

I always find it interesting that only Dallas is mentioned as passing on Moss. 12 teams had a chance even after us, and 7 before, and none of them took Moss either. Of course, some of those other picks turned out ok, but Ellis wasn't THAT bad. And before the injury, Ellis was actually pretty good.

Man I learned all about turf toe that season:oops:.

As bad as it that's definitely not the worst thanksgivings the cowboys have given me. The worst has to be RG||| beating us up..

This game has gone down in history as Randy Moss' revenge on the Cowboys for skipping him in the draft. I guess it was that; he only had three catches, but they all went for long TDs. However, watching the game again, it was a little more competitive than I remembered it. I don't know, if Deion would have played, maybe it would have turned out differently? Dallas receivers, including Irvin, were dropping passes on Troy left, right and center in this one though.

That was a crazy game. Aikman threw for 455 yards. Patrick Jeffers had a 67 yard touchdown. I was going crazy at the time because I didn't know who he was and I thought they had found this great new receiver. He wasn't. I think he did have a couple of good years with Carolina though. Anyway, It didn't matter what the Cowboys did on offense, Their defense was atrocious. They couldn't stop the Vikings. Cunningham threw to whoever he wanted. I just remember seeing Kevin Smith just getting torched. He was just overmatched on that day.
