Well, according to cowboyszone theory. The QB throwing some less than perfect passes, affects the receiver and leads to more drops because they “don’t know where the ball will be”.

Quarterbacks matter with wide receivers' production. Lamb looks awful and Gallup has disappeared. I expected more from Dalton than he has shown, but a noticeable drop-off from the receivers was to be expected.
