Because he's a JAG and you can always get one of those.Wow, why not at least take him into camp?
Who knows what may happen?

I bet he asked for his release, and they just did it as sort of a favor to him. He had almost no shot of making the roster.
Sean Lee sucks you right in with his support of Antwaun Woods...Sean Lee thinks we're idiots.
Likely needed to get better under a certain number of bodies.
Osa, Golston, Urban, Watkins, Bohanna make him easily replaced
Yep - and I'd be surprised if he hadn't had that conversation already with the FO, especially given the timing of when he signed. That’s true. If you’re woods. You would rather be cut now and be able to go to camp with another team who you have a better shot with.
Think he signed his RFA tender if i'm not mistaken.
Let's be honest, once he signed his new deal he was never the same.
Maybe we could have signed wentz
I mean I can't believe I'm defending Woods as I generally think he's a JAG but he was a serviceable NT. No other player on the roster last week is. I'd have kept him to compete with the rookie.
Watkins most likely doesn't make the roster. Urban, Osa, Gallimore, Hill and Bohanna is about as much as you can take at DT. Perhaps if they keep 6 then Watkins could very well make it.Watkins Osi, Gallimore, and Hill they will find rotation and mix of all of them..

There have been other undersized players that have done well at the NT position.cmon man.that was against no hopers in college.you play NT at 280 in the NFL then you are asking too much.
Gallimore, Hill, Urban, Watkins, Bohonna, Golston and Osa are all capable of playing insideYou need average players on your roster. Everyone can't be a good player. I think when healthy, he's servicable. Probably he's been getting injured. Hopefully Gallimore continues to improve along with the guys we drafted.
Same. He's not great but at least he was better than the other bums we put out there
Just curious, have you watched his film? Not highlights but full game footage?cmon man.that was against no hopers in college.you play NT at 280 in the NFL then you are asking too much.
