He is either impatient or super out of touch with the decision making.

What an indictment of the talent evaluators in this organization that our backup was so quickly supplanted by a sub-par journeyman who arrived only weeks before.

Much less one we spent an entire offseason talking about how improved he was.

"I think he's probably the most improved player. He has a greater understanding of the concepts, the protections, calling the plays, all those kinds of things. He's made a big jump this year.
His confidence and his demeanor, his complete understanding and grasping exactly where he's supposed to go with the ball, handling blitzes and things like that, he's been very improved." - Wade Wilson

How does an EX-NFL "3rd String" QB - Former QB Coach- Former OC - Current HC screw this evaluation up? I guess we can blame Jerry ONCE AGAIN for forcing Weeden on JG. JG stayed quiet and accepted Jerry's evaluation. JG is a true company man.

You beat me to it. Can we get to the real crux of this issue..who decided he was a top backup? JG was a QB coach and everyone says he was handling personnel to build his own team...that's why the process took 4 years. Yet a guy, who just 7 weeks ago, was being praised because of a "great arm" and "he's been in the system 2 years and its the first time he's worked with one coach for 2 years straight" is now gone. Great evaluation fellas. You have my trust. Derek Carr > DeMarcus Lawrence
