You just know somewhere along the way Weeden will sub in for somebody and light us up for 400 yards

Would not surprise me one bit.

He'll probably go to a team that doesn't tell the other team what we're doing every play and doesn't require that you throw to receivers that are blanketed.

Ryan. He'll be some bad team's DC next year. Weeden is done in this league.

Nonsense. I remember telling someone back in 2000 that Anthony Wright would never play another down again after completing his "relief" of Troy with a ghastly 5-20, 35 yard, 2 INT performance in the final game of the season (still the worst QB performance I've ever seen). Not only was I wrong, but I believe he started a playoff game for the Ravens. Weeden will play again in the NFL, likely as a backup.

I don't see Cassel as a waste of a 5th round pick. I think he has enough talent to be a back up if the team decides to keep him. I think he's shown that he can be effective if he's supported with strong play. The problem, IMO, is that we didn't see much of that from the rest of the team.

In the last two games, he has thrown for 485 yards, better then 65%, 3 TDs and 2 Ints. That's really not too bad for a backup with 5 games started in this offense. I think he's starting to understand the offense more and more and playing better. If he is kept, I think he can continue to develop in this offense. JMO.

OK, so I made a comment in the thread yesterday about Keith Smith being waived. People were saying it was for Romo coming back, and I said what if it was for Chaz Green to be bought off I.R. and Weeden would be cut for Romo.
So got it half right so far, what do we think the open roster spot is for now ?
Green, or are we trading away another pick for someone else - corner maybe ?
