Liked Durden but no chance he makes the team over Flournoy and Brooks.

Fehoko was a giant reach. Defensive end with no athleticism, possible DT even though he never played it. He’s the kind of guy you maybe gamble on in the 7th round. You definitely do not draft him in the 4th round; I don't care how much a scout or assistant coach loves him. Some things are obvious and watching him rush the passer in the Mountain West Conference should have told everyone this guy was not 4th round worthy.

That pick could/should have easily been Israel Abanikanda.

We are lucky to have McClay
Hard to claim you are an elite-drafting team and then go out and have the 2023 draft class. Like most of Dallas' football issues, the more Jerry is involved, the worse the product.

Don't worry, the Jones will tell you how the good teams tried to "take their guy" and that all of the GM's texted them after each pick to tell them "great pick."

Like Nashon Wright, this was one pick that made absolutely zero sense and had zero chance of panning out.

The consensus on him was a 7th round pick/UDFA guy. Round 3 was incredibly rich. Limited athleticism, too stiff, and his technique needed a lot of work. A few years in the league and no one has fixed his stance. He's long and he starts in a flamingo-like stance which guarantees a wasted step when he triggers. Baffled me.

It only takes one team and unfortunately too many times, we are that one team.

Hey, they can't all be Caleb Farley.

Caleb was a consensus 1st round pick and Wright was not considered a Day 2 pick by anyone outside of Dallas. Not really the same thing, but yes, I missed on Caleb. People who know me will tell you that I will always gamble on elite athleticism.

Why don't you throw a tantrum over Anthony Hitchens being a bust and not a guy who would have an 8-year career in the NFL?

See how that works?

Hitchens was a day 3 JAG nobody cares about. He impacted nothing. You told us Farley was an uber 1st round talent. You wanted to waste a 1st on that bum.

People that know you wouldn't tell me anything because I wouldn't associate with such riff raff.

I imagine the foot traffic in the basement is minimal.

Worst Cowboys draft pick ever: A 1st round Fehoko from the University of Michigan.

I get it but the previous defensive regime had a particular type of player they preferred but Fehoko was a late 4th rounder so odds were stacked against him once Zimmer came in and has different types of players he prefers.

:muttley:

Just saying… should have kept him. Knew we were going to regret that one for depth.

Didnt take a genius to know the Boys weren’t going to pony up for Armstrong and Fowler.

Injury or not, Sam Williams is One of those ‘stupid players’ that Jimmy Johnson used to rant about, so shouldn’t have assumed he was a go either.

Hope Kneeland can replace Tank’s role. Doubt dude has much left with age and injury history.

Another case of coaches being too involved in selecting players
Letting a D Coordinator indenify players he likes is 1 thing…but someone in the front office needs to have the brainpower to know where you need to select said player. Fehoko was over drafted by at least a full round and I don’t put that on Quinn, that’s bad situational awareness by people that have more power than Quinn
