Cowboys want to trade Alfred Morris

Dunbar had 9 carries. That is not a change of pace back. He is hardly even a running back. 3rd down, passing situations only.
that is the definition of change of pace..... a scat back vs a workhorse.........thunder vs lightning

Morris is the same pace of EE just a backup

Lucky Whitehead had more carries than Dunbar. Dunbar fit the role as a change of pace a few years ago, this year the team didn't give him any carries...maybe to preserve his health, I don't know.

I think of a "change of pace" back as someone who actually gets carries. Morris is not a good change of pace back but the team pegged him in that role for whatever reason.

I believe we both have the same idea as what a change of back should be; a player with fresh legs who can break a long carry by catching the defense off guard. A player that is best suited by sprinkling a few carries throughout the game, not someone who averages a half a carry a game.

Its not worth a fight

"Cowboys want to hold on to dunbar..."

Why? Gimme McFadden. And find a rb in the draft. Seemed everytime dunbar was in something would go wrong on the play
I agree, I don't understand the infatuation with Dunbar

Cut Morris, sign AD and/or JCharles and draft Perine or Freeman late
I would like to have that talent on the team but the price to do so might be prohibitive when we have so many holes on defense to fill.

3.5 YPC is bad for a change of pace back. Really bad. You need quickness and the ability to catch the ball...Morris has neither. He is a goal line threat at best but still Zeke is better at that by quite a bit.
McFadden and I think dumbar both had 3.5 avg too.
I have rewatched the first 7 games, and Morris looked good, scored 2 tds.
There is no change of pace back, Morris was just supposed to spell EE when needed and I think 2nd qrt.
For some reason JG likes dunbar, I dont get it, but they will keep him over morris or mcf.

Too bad. I thought his signing would really benefit the Cowboys. He just never got going. Maybe, it was lack of work or he was a lot closer to the end than many people thought at the time.
Well they didnt use him properly, you cant come in for one series and do much.
I would have played him in 1st and 3rd, then in 2nd and 4th when defense is a little tired put fresh elliot in and he would probably
break some runs.
The way they did it, elliot was as tired as the defense.
Parcells used jones that way, then put a fresh barber in for redzones, and 4th qtr.
That made barber look better than he was, but it worked, and just imagine using elliot like that, defense tired, and in
comes elliot not tired and actually raring to go!

How rich is that report?

This is set up to be the deepest RB class in years (maybe decades) and the Cowboys supposedly want to trade a soon-to-be 29-year old backup RB?

Seriously though, I'll take whatever we can for Morris. I thought we stole him last year with the deal he got, not the first or last time I'll be wrong.

Morris current trade value...............
