Cowboys whose legacy was a single play

Positive:
Woody Dantzler KO return vs SF that will be played on highlight reels until the end of time. Utterly unremarkable otherwise.

Negative:
Alex Barron - holding penalty negates game winning touchdown vs the Skins on final play of the game, Cowboys lose.

btw just looked up the Dantzler TD, crazy how unenthusiastic Summerall is on the call, guy basically sounds like he’s falling asleep. Unsurprisingly that was his final year in the booth.

Had the fasted TD return ever. 4.19ish speed. Height. Otherwise useless.
 
Hmm, if Alex Barron doesn't hold and negate the 2010 week one win over Washington, Dallas ends that season 7-9 and maybe drafts too late to get Tyron Smith.

Fate works in funny ways sometimes.
 
It would appear that for some...Tony Romo holding a FG snap when he should have been on the sideliine with overhead photos.

Beat me to it. After all that guy did....playing hurt, putting the team on his shoulders so many games...for better or worse. That's what he gets?

Random NFL fans on youtube appreciated him more than some of these Cowboys ...er.... fans.

You do everything you can to excuse Romo coking huge on that play. It was Romo's fault, and nobody else's. He's a professional that should be able to handle things like holding for a chip shot FG. Single handed choked that game away and it was an omen of his whole career.

What other starting QB holds for a field goal?

It's only an "omen" because of ..jack-..er ...people...like you.

So NFL changed the rules on FG balls...because of it. That says VOLUMES about what happened.

Then the team just watches him instead of helping.

Haters gonna hate no matter what.

It's a TEAM game until it's NOT convenient for the hater.

Romo stold your girlfriend...too bad.

The actual time should have been five or six seconds because the clock failed to start, but it still would easily be the fastest. The next-fastest is apparently a tie at 11 seconds.

Williams' time is officially three seconds.
