You got the wrong memo. Mike McCarthy says we scored too much. We need to stop being so aggressive and run the ball and keep the number 1 ranked TO defense off the field, because apparently they were too tired as reflected in the fact they allowed the 49ers to put up 18 points or so in the playoffs.. too many points to overcome

We will see.

That said....perhaps it's just coincidence, but he sure doesn't seem to have affected anyone's run game in the past too much....even when he still had his top gear.

In his 9 NFL seasons....only ONCE did his team finish in the single digits for ranking for rushing yards.

If you look at all 9 years....his teams average rushing rank was 23.

It's a nice thought...however when you look around the league, there isn't great correlation for WRs having impacts on the running game.

The OLine is one of the top 2 factors. The other big one is simply having a great offense, and getting quick leads on teams through the air...and then turning to the ground game to wear down the clock.

So again...it kinda comes back to Dak. Yikes!

The offensive line will be a big factor to this season if they play well, look out Dallas will put 35 or more points on the score board.I hope McCarthy can add some screen passes into the offense.
Key . OL how it plays is important for our passing attack, even with Cooks , Dak‘s penchant for not throwing unless he sees visible separation, meaning there will be lot of short and interim routes will be available and need to be taken advantage , can only happen if the WR/ TE and QB in the same page and OL holds up.

If Rbs are used in the short passing with TEs (WR)blocking, we will have some good YAC.
