No surprise. Jones is as good as gone with the way money is thrown around in free agency he’ll likely end up as one of the highest-paid corners in the league if not the highest paid.

If he averaged 4-5 interceptions per year, there is no way the Cowboys would let him walk.

Then it would be even harder for the Cowboys to afford him. Amari would be as good as gone to keep Jones if he averaged 4-5 picks per year. The Cowboys would have no choice but to make him the highest paid corner in the league. Even with only 2 career picks he may end up the highest paid corner in the league in free agency.

If so, that makes no sense. 4 turnovers a year is almost nothing in the grand scheme. That’s .25 turnovers a game.

They’re letting him walk because they paid Dlaw, Zeke, and Jaylon already and he’s lower on the pecking order than Dak and Amari.

Byron should’ve been the fourth guy on the totem pole (Dak, Amari, DLaw) instead of sixth. The Jones messed up paying Zeke and Jaylon. This pass defense is going to be rough without a first round corner.

You say a quarter of a turnover a game like that's some small feat..nobody on the entire roster averages that...nobody on the roster in the last decade plus has averaged that..

If they're throwing money around don't expect Jones to come up with any of it:laugh:

Another no brainer. We the fans (most of us) seen this coming. There is absolutely no way Dallas was able to keep Jones when their priorities are Dak & Coops contracts.

Catch up on your reading Jane. Besides Philly, Denver & New Orleans have their eyes on Jones as well. "Just saying".

We all knew this was coming but it still sucks seeing the defense get weaker. Gotta pay those superstars on offense that feast on the weak and don't show up against the good teams.

How about paying top dollar to guys like zeke that don’t even feast on the weak?

but yah, that vaunted defense let’s pay them. Zero picks in 4 years. Your hero.

5tds allowed in 2 years and can effectively shut down a teams WR#1, but yeah..he's average.
That part. Bryon slowed down any WRs lined up on his side...now the whole field will open up for QBs n WRs. But hey, it's all about picks.

Later Byron, break the bank. Don't go to Philly.
