Cowboys willing to trade, no resources are untouchable

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones continues to express that they are open for business to improve the roster. Jones on @1053thefan said "there's nothing untouchable" when it comes to the picks they received in the Micah Parsons trade.

"If we can improve our team and it makes sense for what we give up in the future, all of it's there. We have major, major, major resources that we wouldn't have had had we not made that trade. ... I promise you, yours truly or anybody associated with the Cowboys has got our eyes really opened to ways we can help this defense and certainly don't want to preclude anything on offense, either.

"There's nothing untouchable in our resources to help our team. And there's no way that I'm at a point right now to where I would not do something because of where we are into the season, six games. I would go as early as I would if we were talking three games back."

There is a 95% chance Jerry makes a desperate trade in which we get a player that costs more picks then he should and doesn't have a noticeable impact.

In his mind, he needs to prove trading Parsons was smart and hiring Eberflus was smart and filling the roster with castoffs like Murray and Elam was smart and he is about to do whatever he can to justify each of those bad decisions.

In other words, he's going to dig himself a deeper hole.

I am telling you guys no GM is going to trade with Cowboys unless Jerry offers one of those first round picks. The Cowboys tax is high.

In reality Jerry is talking crap to keep the fan base interested. Those picks will keep the attention on the Cowboys in the offseason. Jerry won’t give that up.

I know you are joking but I get the feeling this dipstick has those picks burning a hole in his pocket and we need too much to fix it this year. And yes his talent observation leaves alot to be desired. Trey Henderson wouldn't disappoint me but what would he cost and what picks would the Bengals want
