Wasn't he a QB at Michigan? Maybe they wanted to see if he could be a backup running back and emergency QB.

Perhaps, some guys are faster in actual pads and on the field competing. Never seen anyone faster than Deion on the field, and some fear might make anyone just a lil faster.

He would have to stay healthy, but Denard's explosiveness in a phone booth is impressive. Would be nice if they ran at the combine in pads, cause pads are restrictive and some guys can't run in them as easy or as fast.

Maybe someday there will be a video analysis software package that can determine speed from game footage.

We could likely determine top speed manually by timing a player from yardline to yardline but camera angles make it tricky.

Deion ran past the Olympic sprinters that the Raiders had on their roster. He was insulted that tried to go deep on him.

I remember a play where the Raiders tried to go deep with one of their Olympic caliber WRs and Deion ended up back there past all of them and it looked like he was catching a punt.

Zeke, McFadden, Robinson, Morris, Hillman, Rod Smith, Thomas.......we should be able to field a pretty good stable of running backs

Interesting. Elliott needs to be disciplined by the FO. Gutless and shortsighted come to mind. The FO made the same blunder with Bryant and its the reason he is the way he is. Sad, but true.

There is definitely a place on this roster for a pass catching 3rd down back, is he available now ?... probably not, but expect this interview process to continue well through pre season up until final cuts, and maybe possible trade at that point if we still haven't found that back.
No reason to pay up now, just look around, the league is stocked deep at RB,,, there will be cuts, but this team does need that pass catching RB that's currently absent from this backfield, and it will probably come much later than sooner.

I wouldn't call 4.43 speed elite, but he is quite explosive on tape in short areas.

I wouldn't mind him, but he would have to stay healthy.

If that's his 40 speed then that's not elite but he plays much faster than that.
